Story
Members of City of Oxford Rowing Club are daring to take on the mighty Boston Rowing Marathon in order to raise funds for the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Acute Stroke Unit Fund.
The Acute Stroke Unit is a ward at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where patients who have suffered a stroke are cared for in the initial stages of their recovery.
Once a Stroke patient's condition has stabilised medically, it is important that therapy is commenced immediately to avoid related complications and ensure recovery occurs in the most natural way.
Stroke can affect people in a large variety of different ways and specialist equipment is required in order to support the work of skilled therapists.
Money raised through this site will be used to purchase therapy equipment for the unit.
