Anyone who knows us will know we're not the fittest people on the planet, far from it... But we like a challenge, so we have decided to take on the challenge of cycling from London to Paris, over 4 days, maybe we are crazy but its too late for that now!

So next July, Gav and I will be getting on our bikes and trying to raise as much money as we can for the AMAZING Sheffield Children's Hospital! Our niece Ebony was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, stage 4 in July 2013 at the age of just 3 and a half. Neuroblastoma is a highly aggressive form of childhood cancer... The long term survival rate for children with high risk neuroblastoma remains at less than 40%, which is around half the average survival rate for childhood cancers. Since her diagnosis Ebony has been receiving treatment at Sheffield Children's Hospital and we have seen first hand how wonderful and caring all the doctors, nurses and everyone connected to this hospital are! Aswell as looking after Ebony, they have supported our family through something no family should ever have to face and we cannot thank them enough! Ebony has a big battle ahead of her but with this hospital by her side we have no doubt that she will continue to kick cancers ass!

We wanted to do something to raise as much as we could and when Gav first suggested this I thought he'd gone mad! But after thinking about it and all the support from friends saying "go for it" we've decided to "Go big or go home" so to speak. It'll be one hell of an experience, good and bad but the one thing that will spur us on to the finish line is Ebony and all the other children on ward M3 who are always smiling despite what they're going through!

So bring on the training, sore bums and achy calves... And whilst we are punishing our a*ses in our saddles, we'd really appreciate you guys supporting us by donating generously and helping us reach our target and beyond!
