Story
I had a stroke on the 10th of April 2016 one of the worst experience of my life the hospital done a really good job but nothing prepares you for when you get home and all the hard work you have to do physically and mentally. It's so hard... the after stroke care and the stroke association were a big part of getting my life back. I couldn't bath or shower when I got out of hospital i had to have special equipment they got me that. You have 12 weeks of daily care and the stroke of are there for you for 12 months after. They don't just help the stroke survivors themselves they help the families the carers too. They have little groups on you can do arts crafts have hand massage there they organise trips out wether it could be boat rides and bike rides to days out in Wales blackpool or Christmas nights out too a show and a meal all these things you dread when you're in hospital that you will never do again.. theven carers can come on these days out and to the weekly groups too or it could be used as a bit of respite to the carers. They can get grants for household items. I had to move home because of my stroke I didn't have a cooker or freezer and they got me one brand new. If you're concentration is poor and you had to make phone calls to officials and you get muddled up what you're saying they will do it for you. They can help people take driving lessons and they can help people back into work or they can help with benefits making sure you get the right benefits.. all the vulnerability that you feel they take away so you can concentrate on getting better.. please please donate to this wonderful cause I didn't think I would need all this at 35 no one will know if you or a family member may be in need we need to keep this charity going so please donate what you can.
Thankyou
