Story
I am attempting to cover 2,012 human powered measurable miles in 2012. This is to cover 2,012 human powered miles by the means of cycling, running, rowing, swimming, and walking. The Distance works out at; 503 miles per quarter, 167.6 miles per month, 38.7 miles per week, 5.5 miles per day - that's the 2012in2012 challenge. I have started a little late on in the year so have some catching up to do! – So please motivate me by donating to a worthy cause – The Matt Hampson Foundation
I will be using the challenge as an opportunity to raise money for The Matt Hampson Trust who is an inspiration to many. I have wanted to support the great work of the trust for along time and feel that this will be a great opportunity to try and raise as much money as I can.
The Matt Hampson Foundation provides advice, support, relief and/or treatment for anyone suffering serious injury or disability which has arisen from any cause, but in particular from participation in or training for any sport, sporting activity or other form of physical education or recreation.
Go to http://www.matthampsonfoundation.org/ for more details.
As well as my weekly workouts I will be taking part in challenges along the way all contributing to my mileage. Including;
- The Coritanian Crippler - an 80 mile cycle ride on February 19, 2012 http://bit.ly/JhVbdJ
