We raise funds for rural Kenyan street kids to provide food, education and a home

Story

Jess, Annabelle, Gabi, Grace, Lucy, Bella T, Hessie, Amy, Ollie N and Joseph B are all taking on the challenge of swimming 10000m ( 1000m for each child) during their swimming lesson.

They are hoping to raise as much money as possible to build an ablution block with flushing toilets and eco friendly showers . They are also wanting to help with water harvesting initiatives and maybe if funds permit install solar power .

Please help the children with their challenge of making the orphans lives better.

Eusebia Karega lived in Igoji, a village in Kenya. In 2004, she decided to help the growing number of children in her village who had been abandoned or orphaned, often as a result of HIV/ Aids. Every day, after her long shift as a midwife, Eusebia went home to cook for the children waiting at her door. Eusebia died in 2013, but her work continues. It is led in Kenya by her mother, Teresa, and in the UK by her daughter, Christine. The Eusebia Hope Foundation (EHF) is the UK charity supporting this provision of unconditional help for the children. It is run by a group of people, who share Eusebia’s belief in the African proverb: ‘It takes a whole village to raise a child’.
