Story
This summer I am going to work 6 weeks as a volunteer maths teacher in Limpopo, South Africa. It is like nothing I've ever done before but I'm so excited have this opportunity.
I will be teaching around 400 students for up to 40 hours a week, and want to really inspire them and have a positive impact on their education and their lives.
It costs less than £10 to teach one child for a month with Warwick in Africa, which could make the difference between them passing their exams and them having to repeat the year - under volunteer teachers, students improve the grades by up to 60%.
I appreciate every donation, and it will all go to the project's work in Africa; all administrative costs are covered by the university. I will be updating this page with photos .
