Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 20th of August...(Reserve date 17th September) I will be jumping out of a plane, (along with nine of my colleagues) strapped only to a parachute and a friendly skydive instructor, to raise money for Cambridge Onlines' chosen charity of the year, our local branch of the Alzheimer's Society.
(If at first I don't succeed...skydiving probably isn't the sport for me.)
Dementia can happen to anyone and currently, there is no cure. There are 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK, and the number is set to rise to 1 million by 2021.
The Alzheimer's society believe that life doesn't end when dementia begins. They are there for anyone affected by dementia, and do everything they can to keep people affected with dementia connected to their lives, and to the people who matter most to them.
