Story
On February 1st this year, Rowan Michael James Miller was born sleeping. He was Alex, my fiancé, and my first child and it was an absolutely devastating time for us. On what would have been his due date, we wanted to remember him in a more significant way, by raising some money for charities that have been a support to us.
On 1st June, Alex and I will be playing 3 rounds of golf each, starting together at 6am, playing a second round together at 9.30am and then finally playing separately in the afternoon. This won't be an easy challenge, so we asking for donations, however small, to help spur us on.
We have had great support from Petals charity since losing Rowan. They have provided us with counselling during the toughest time in our lives, making us feel comfortable and able to talk about our trauma.
Petals are a baby loss counselling charity. The specialist counselling service that they provide is life-changing for parents who have suffered the devastating loss of a pregnancy or death of a baby. These tragic experiences not only result in grief but also in trauma. The wonderful counsellors are there to help clients navigate their grief and trauma and to guide them to a place of hope. Supporting Petals will be helping to deliver more vital counselling sessions to bereaved parents when they need it.
