Zimbabwe Orphan Care (ZOC) is a registered UK based charity working in Harare, Zimbabwe.
The charity was established by Alan & Dorothy Graham (originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland) in 2000 to help orphaned children and abandoned babies in the Harare area, they were challenged by the words "what disturbs you " and after encountering many children with great needs and difficulties they decided to set up ZOC to try and help some of the poorest and neediest. Since then they have been seeking to disturb people and join forces with those who can help alleviate suffering for many children through financing and partnership.
Zimbabwe is among one of the poorest countries in the world with very high unemployment and HIV/Aids having wiped out a whole generation.
ZOC wants to echo the words of John Wesley......
"Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as you ever can"
And also the words of Jesus Christ......" As much as you did it for the least of these, you did it onto me " Matthew 25:40
