Story
Thanks for visiting our Just Giving page.
On Sunday 7th September,
Katie Simpson, Claire White and Harriet Sutherland will be running the Salford
10km in memory of our friend and colleague, Tom Jordan, who passed away on 23rd
June 2014 aged 29.
Tom lost his leg as a teenager as a result of bone cancer. Despite the
devastating effect of the illness and the adaptations that Tom had to make to
his life, he continued to live every day to the full and worked hard to achieve
his goals. In 2011 he qualified as a solicitor at Pannone and secured a
position in the employment department. Over the two years that we spent
training with Tom at Pannone, we got to know him as a friend as well as a
colleague - he was kind, witty, and lots of fun, and we have great memories of
Trainee balls, Christmas parties and nights out with him.
In addition to being a high achiever professionally, Tom was a keen sportsman and a member of the England Amputee
Football Association (EAFA), later becoming team captain and leading his team
mates to many victories all over the world. Pictures of Tom in action playing for the EAFA can be
seen on their website here: http://www.theeafa.co.uk/
Tom was and continues to be a huge inspiration to so many people, and we
would like to raise as much money as possible for The Teenage Cancer Trust in his memory.
Please sponsor us as much as you can.
Thank you, Claire, Katie and Harriet
