Story
Hello
So, I've been roped into taking part in another ridiculous challenge. This time I'm off to cope with the mountains of Darjeeling for 11 days. It's going to be pretty hard work, I have a deeply ingrained fear of heights and a total inability to keep warm in even the hottest of climates so trekking and camping in the very chilly mountains while coping with altitude sickness and curry for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with only the most basic of toilet "facilities" will certainly test my metal and will be the furthest thing from a holiday that you can imagine.
I'm doing this to raise money for Sense and Sense International, you may not have heard of them but we do the most amazing work with people who are deafblind, that's a combination of the two, not just simply deaf or blind. I can't imagine for a moment how difficult that must be to do even the most simple of everyday tasks or to communicate with the people around me.
We work with people from early childhood through to old age, and if you click on the link below you can watch a video about little 4 year old Elliot and his Mum and how we've work with them to make live better. There are thousands upon thousands of children like Elliot around the country and all over the world and we're working incredibly hard to help improve their lives. I do hope you'll be able to support us.

I'm off to Darjeeling in October so I'll keep you posted with how I get on, thanks so much for taking the time to read this and for thinking about sponsoring me.
