Colitis and Crohn are inflammatory bowel diseases that last a lifetime. There is no known cure for the diseases but plenty of support through the UK charity The National Association for Colitis and Crohns.

Through donations, the charity are able to provide helplines and community groups, but most importantly, research into one day finding a cure for the incurable diseases.

I sometimes have asked myself, why I have chosen an acitivity as painful as a half marathon? I am just happy its not a full marathon.

Its going to be a painful and a hard work process but I am going to love every second of it because its for a good cause and will be surrounded by other runners who are running for charities close to their hearts.

So please dig deep and donate now and even consider doing your own fundraiser for a charity of your choice. It all makes such a difference.
