Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the Brighton Marathon to raise money for the Bobby Moore Fund, which raises awareness as well as research into bowel cancer. Each day, 44 people die as a result of bowel cancer. In the early 1970’s around one out of four bowel cancer patients in the UK survived their disease beyond five years. Now two out of four will survive beyond five years.
My Dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer in February of 2012 and I immediately knew I wanted to help in whatever way I could. I signed up for the marathon and set off on my first run. I have been training since the middle of November & I can run 13 miles and am counting down the days until the big day! Training for a marathon is proving to be the hardest but most rewarding thing I have ever experienced.
I would be hugely grateful if anybody could sponsor me and raise money for the Bobby Moore Fund. Together we can beat cancer.
