Story
Well there you go - we managed to walk the whole 13.1 miles. All 13 miles completed in 3 hrs 45 minutes. And I do strongly believe that miles in Southend are longer than the ones we have in Basildon because the course just went on and on and on. I'm told the fastest was about 3 hrs but the average time was 4 1/2 hrs, so not bad.
I couldn't move on Sunday and struggled on Monday but now I am begining to forget just how far 13 miles is and I'm up for the challenge again next year if anyone wishes to join me..........
There are some pictures of us walking and one of the wonderful medals - do have a look.
