At the Discipline of radiation therapy, we have set ourselves a challenge of 6,000,000 steps for the month of March. We want to help the Irish cancer society in their goals to support and advocate for people affected by cancer through research and practical supports.

Radiation therapy is a safe and effective cancer treatment. Patients diagnosed with cancer often require radiation therapy as a part of their treatment and we would like to raise much needed funds for the Irish Cancer society to help them to continue to provide support to patients. They offer their direct support of patients (night nurses, transport to and from appointments, support lines and Survivor Support Group) and also fund research to develop new and better treatments for different types of cancer.

As prevalence of cancer increases, expansion in support services is required to support the increase in demand. Please join us in supporting the Irish Cancer Society by donating what you can.
