Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I signed up for the British 10k a couple of weeks ago as a personal challenge to help me get back into running. I did not intend to run for a charity this time, or to aim for a particular time. That has all since changed.
My aunt, Maureen Hood, sadly passed away on 16th May 2013, just several weeks after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Initially thinking that she might be a candidate to trial a new treatment, it was discovered last week that the cancer had spread to her liver, and that it was too late for her.
I'm now going to run in memory of my Auntie Maureen, train hard to try to achieve a PB, and hopefully raise some money for Cancer Research UK in the process, and make some small contribution towards trying to find a cure for this horrific disease which affects too many people.
