Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  My daughter & Emma's sister Poppy died shortly after birth in September.  We are both running the Great South (10 miles & 1.5km) in Poppy's memory to raise money for Sands.

100 babies are stillborn, or die shortly after birth, every week in the UK.  Sands supports anyone who has been affected by the death of a baby before, during, or shortly after birth.  They offer emotional support and information for parents, grandparents, siblings, children, family and friends, health professionals, and others.  The care received around these extremely difficult times is hugely important.  Additionally, Sands also supports crucial research to help answer the questions that surround stillbirth and neonatal death.  See more here:  https://www.uk-sands.org/

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
