Story
We are a team of friends, ranging from age 7 and up, who are raising funds for Farleighs hospice, following the loss of our mutual friend, partner, dad, Craig Eldret. We do so alongside, and in support of Charlotte, and their two boys.
On Sunday, collectively we covered 100K as we ran, walked, splashed our way across the course at Maldon in a bid to raise funds and awareness for Farleighs and come together with Charlotte & their boys to honour Craig.
Farleigh Hospice provide a MASSIVE support to families who find themselves in this nightmare situation, affected by life-limiting illnesses. The compassion and respect they treated Craig with, extended on to Charlotte and the boys - providing access to comfort and support that any family going through this should have.
Unfortunately, only 40% of their yearly running costs are funded by the local NHS and they RELY on the support and goodwill of community to contribute to the £21,500 it costs to provide their services each day. So we are raising funds, knowing that the next family that has to go through this will receive the same standard of care.
If you are able to, please do contribute if you can, to help Farleigh continue to provide this support to families who find themselves there.
Farleigh is a registered charity (no. 284670) which provides hospice care to people affected by life-limiting illnesses, both patients and their families.
They help patients to live as actively as possible from the point of diagnosis to the end of their life, by providing both physical and emotional care, free of charge.
