Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We have decided to run the Great North Run this year in memory of some close family members and friends who have been affected by this horrendous disease.
A message from Claire.
My brother’s girlfriend Hannah sadly lost her dad Gary to cancer in February this year. Gaz was a proud husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, and he's greatly missed everyday. King of making the most AMAZING sticky toffee puddings he battled through like a soldier and really showed cancer what for. This ones for you Gaz!
I'm also running in memory of my amazing Grandma Joan, who we lost in 2006 very suddenly. Grandma was an angel, she made the most amazing cakes and gave the best squishy cuddles you could ask for! We miss you everyday.
Love Claire
A Message from Jess
Many of you may not be aware of Hilary’s battle with Cancer many years ago, having my Mum still with makes me feel extremely lucky as many others are not so fortunate, she has raised a lot of money over the years and I am so proud to have such an amazing Mum but now its my turn to do the same.
Without the work of cancer research many families like my own may not have been so lucky and the support of charity’s like Breast Cancer provide some comfort at such a horrendous time.
Claire and I thought it was about time we gave a helping hand to both of these Charity’s which have touched our lives and with your help we want to make Gary, Joan and Hilary proud.
Love Jess
So with your kind donations we're hoping to raise £1,000 between us, £500 for Cancer Research and £500 for Breast Cancer.
Every little helps, if everyone on our Facebook pages donated just £1 we would reach our target so anything no matter how small is appreciated.
Cancer's a bitch and with your help (and with our running skills!) we can hopefully make a change.
Thanks!
Claire and Jess
