Story
Okay, so here we go, by setting this page up it means I really am committed to running this thing......
I am actually going to run the Great North Run this year. I am. I've done all the training and everything! Even if I end up walking I will get to the end of those 13.1 miles if it kills me. And let's face it, it might!
If you think I'm mad or you think I may die doing this, please donate.
If you think I can do it, Bless you, I'll try my best and I am determined!
This will be the first ever organised run I have ever done.
This will be the first time I have ran 13.1 miles in a day.
I won't be consuming any alcohol!!!
I know we all get asked to donate money to a lot of causes during the year but please give what you can. I'm running for the Stroke Association as it is something close to my heart.
There have been several people close to me, of varying ages, that have had strokes. This includes my grandad, who through luck and strength has managed to come through quite unscathed.
The Stroke Association help those that are not as lucky. A stroke can efffect people in different ways. Speech and mobility can be lost and the Stroke Association help victims get back a good quality of life. Imagine for two seconds not being able to do everything that you loved. Imagine not being able to communicate verbally - we all know how much that would effect me!!
So Thank You for donating. I really appreciate it.
