Over 4 million people in Morocco live in poverty – with 3 million of these living in rural areas. In these rural communities, around 66% of 15-24 year olds are uneducated.

Belazu has been buying foods such as olives, argan oil, preserved lemons and barley couscous from Morocco for over 10 years. Over this time, we have donated around £100,000 which has educated over 300 children. This is our way of giving something back. Our aim is to raise a further £93,000 to open a preschool to partner with our current school in Tidli, plus an additional preschool, school and adult education unit in Chichaoua over the next 12 months.
