I first became aware of this amazing charity on a visit to Manchester where I saw blind soldiers recreating the Victory over Blindness statue at Manchester Piccadilly station. It was a humbling experience as they had stood in the same pose for hours on end.

It made me think how I took my sight for granted doing simple everyday things. These soldiers have sacrificed so much for the country and anything we can do to help is worthwhile.

I have always wanted to do a tandem skydive and now I am over 50 and at target weight for the experience want to seize the opportunity before osteoporosis and middle age really sets in!!

So please support me in this exhilarating experience in raising vital funds for this worthy cause.
