Hi and thanks for visiting my page!

 

During this year at Kincorth Academy, I have been working with some S6 pupils on The Jasmine Charity Challenge.  The challenge is to raise £1000 for your chosen charity and that amount will be matched by the organisers and their sponsors.

 

We have held a talent show at the school, have bag packing, a 'come as you please' day and a disco coming up over the next month or so but I thought I would try and help the girls reach their target by getting sponsored for the events I am doing in May.

 

I am running 10k in Bellahouston Park (Glasgow) on May 8th and am part of a relay team for the Edinburgh Marathon on May 22nd.

 

The Vine Trust is a charity which is close to the hearts of those at Kincorth and the school has organised trips to work with street boys and help build centres in Peru for several years.  Any money that is raised by the group this year really will go a long way to making life better for these boys in Peru.  We are also in the process of organising a trip for summer 2012 and I am very excited about getting the chance to go over and see the work which is being done firsthand.

 

Any donations you make will be very much appreciated and I may even have some amusing pictures for you of me post race!
