My stepdad passed away in 2017 after living with dementia. I saw the horrible effect this had on him, my mum and the wider public, including how dementia is/isn’t accepted in public, which is a key element of why the EDAA exists. In supporting my wing walk, this will enable them to help raise awareness of dementia and how we can support and teach the wider public to accept dementia within the community.
