Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Chigwell Riding Trust for Special Needs children is a charity that is very close to our hearts. Cathal has been attending for the past few years, and has thrived! Thrived, not only in terms of physical strength, but also in confidence in being ok with leaving me and trotting off on his pony, but also socially, in meeting children like him, in a very safe and secure environment. This outlet has been a godsend to parents like us, as usual clubs and activities are not always accessible to our kids, so here they have a social outlet and stimulation from the wonderful volunteers and trainers. It truly is a treasure.

Unfortunately during this period, the CRT has closed. Given that the majority of children that attend, have  underlying health conditions, a reopening of any description is far off in the future. Therefore their income stream is severely impacted. It costs £1800 p/a to keep a horse, so there is considerable pressure on the team there to try and keep it going. It would be detrimental to families like us, should this have to close permanently.

Therefore, we are trying to support these guys and we are asking you to help, in whatever way you can. Every penny counts.

Thanking you all from the bottom of our hearts.
