I am starting to 'train' to get some wings back to my feet after my epic couple years. Opening Bramble Bees Florist very close, in walking distance, was my first step to start using other bits of my slightly damaged brain space and use other bits whilst other bits are diminishing - I now have a diminishing left hippocampus.. more news i'm sure will follow!. The other huge part of my 'recovery' is to start running again, whilst always respectful of the 'beast' (epilepsy). So to keep me motivated and to do some good i'm running The Royal Parks Half Marathon April 2021 - all to raise funds for the superb work and support that the Epilepsy Society do. I won't do too much drama to tug at the heart strings BUT my story is..... collapsing with neurocysteriocycosis (never learned how to spell it in all these years) at work July 2017, this is a tape worm in ones brain space. Cheeky blighter came from someone eating pork, having Heffe (as we called him, my tape worm) in his/her gut, then they didn't wash their hands and infected my food and instead of Heffe travelling down ones gut he decided on 'the only way was UP' and nestled for a while in my brain. Lots of complications and drama for all as when he died he kicked off lots of neurotoxins blah blah blah and I am now left with epilepsy. I am still uncontrolled and have experienced now pretty serious seizures of which I require monitoring and support until considered controlled. Epilepsy is just debilitating, in my case never leaves my thoughts - I won't speak for other people - but its really quite nasty and I am just wanting to get some independence and dignity back (always a drama when I have a seizure.... causes a lot of distress for all around - sorry about that...x)

I 'used to' run (I used to drive but we are not talking about that... quiet sobbing in the back ground...) so I am starting again and would like some significant support to sponsor me please. All proceeds to the superb work that the Epilepsy Society does, and other charities that fight the cause continue to do.

Joking aside there are over 40 different types of seizure - all that start in the brain. It affects 'us' in many different ways driving, sleeping, working generally living. Its really pants and any support is gratefully received.
