As most of my family and friends are aware, I had a major spinal operation in July 2008. It has always been a goal of mine to run a half Marathon, and hopefully the London Marathon next year!!!. No-one ,not even myself or my consultant thought I would ever be able to run this distance again. So, here it is, I am running on Sunday 9th May 2010 with a very special friend of mine,Kay Sheppard. We have been very close friends since childhood.

We have decided to raise monies for Daisy's Dream, an amazing charity whom offer support for bereaved children and their families through a variety of circumstances including: Illness, Accident, Suicide, Murder. Kay and I have both had experiences of loosing someone very close. Unfortunately we were not aware of Daisy's Dream, so we could not obtain this service for our children. However, we both feel passionate about letting everyone know about this amazing charity and the work they do.

I am asking you all to please donate generously as one day you may need to call upon this wonderful charity for support.
