Story
Every four hours, someone is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. My husband Steve became one of those people at the age of 23, breaking his neck and becoming a tetraplegic. Since then, he has been closely involved with Aspire through his work with London Wheelchair Rugby Club, who are based at the Aspire Leisure Centre in Stanmore.
Aspire are an incredible charity, providing practical support to those with spinal cord injuries and their families - from help with housing, legal advice, financial advice, technology and education, to research and support for those whose lives have changed dramatically.
Please support my marathon effort, and help those like my husband who have sustained a spinal cord injury and need help to move on with the next stage of their lives. SCI can happen to anyone, anytime - thank you for supporting me to make sure that no-one has to face it alone.
