Story
You probably know that I run a lot. Some years ago I crushed and burned in an off-road 50K in Salisbury, which remains my most vividly painful experience to date. I clearly have not learned my lesson though, as this May I will be running double that distance (100km), from London to Brighton. Hopefully in a time of 10-11 hrs.
While doing this I am also trying to raise money for MIND, the mental health charity. Running for >10 hrs is physically and mentally hard, but still falls short compared to the pain that mental health disorders can bring to affected individuals and the people around them. Mental health issues can affect anyone, at any point in time. It is important to continue raising awareness for these conditions and break down the associated stigma.
MIND are doing an amazing job at helping people with mental issues, and 85% of your donation goes directly to charitable work. So please consider donating whatever you can afford; giving as little as £5 or £10 can really make a difference to someone.
Donating online is easy and secure. If you are in the UK, you can also donate via SMS by texting DRCT62 £5 (or £10, £20 etc) to number 70070 .
