Story
I will be cycling from Geneva to Nice (25-28 June) in support of the Prostate Cancer Research Centre. This is a ride of 380 miles with some serious hills to negotiate. I have chosen the Prostate Cancer Research Centre as I have friends and family members who have been directly affected by this disease and I'm a man over 50!
Prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men and more than 10,000 die in the UK every year as a direct result of the disease.
A man aged 50 has a 1 in 11 chance of being diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. Last year more than 30,000 men in the UK were told they have prostate cancer
Survival rates for advanced prostate cancer have improved little in the past 50 years and we are determined to make progress in this area. The work of the Prostate Cancer Research Centre is leading towards success. We just don’t know when that success will come but we do know that every pound raised brings that moment closer. So, please help yourself and others by donating now.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Prostate Cancer Research Charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
