This is my first ever half marathon, and I'm running it to raise money to help the work of Care & Repair Cymru. I believe passionately in the work work of Care & Repair, who help vulnerable older people stay safe, warm and independent in their own homes.

This is a charity close to home, and few people realise that many thousands of older people live in housing that is unfit for habitation, cold, unsafe, or not suitable adapted to live independently. Care & Repair help older people stay where they prefer to be- in their own homes and communities and surroundings they know well, close to friends and family, and often preventing the need for them to go into care, or worse end up in hospital, maybe due to falling or living in a cold home.
