Story
My dad died with throat cancer in 1989, when there was no treatment, just pain relief with morphine. The advances made in forms of cancer treatment in the last 3 decades have been astounding. Most recently we have seen the growing use of proton beam therapy. The amount and regularity of any dose of treatment is still in a learning and development phase.
I'm thankful for my level of fitness at 59 years of age, so that I'll run the London marathon as long as I feel able to complete 26 miles. My training has been going well so fingers crossed for Sunday 23 April 2023.
Please play your part and sponsor me so I can reach my £2,000 target. Together we can help advance cancer research for the benefit of us all.
