Story
On Saturday 26th February, my brother, John Delgaty was tragically killed after being struck by a car just yards from his home in London.
Since news of his death has broken, both my parents and I have received many hundreds of messages of condolence and outpourings of love for John. Whilst nothing can ever bring him back to us, there is some comfort in knowing that he had positively impacted so many people in his sadly shortened life.
Within these messages, many of you have asked where to send cards of condolence and flowers. Whilst these would be lovely to receive, we have discussed it as a family and would prefer you donate the money you would’ve spent to ‘Brake’ - a wonderful road safety charity who support families just like us in the days, weeks, months and even years after the incident, whilst also campaigning tirelessly for improved safety across the road network.
So, if you loved John as we did and want a way to pay your respects, I hope you’ll consider choosing this one.
We miss you, bruv - please watch over us until it’s time for us to meet again 💔💔
