Story
Thankyou for visiting this page. As most of you will know my mum sadly died recently after battling with lung cancer for nearly four years. ALK positive lung cancer predominantly affects younger women who are non smokers for the most part and many are diagnosed at the very late stages of illness. The charities existence has encouraged research which has led to numerous new drug trials and targeted treatments specifically for those with the ALK positive gene mutation enabling many of those effected to live much longer and fuller lives. The charity also does a lot of amazing work to support those living with ALK positive lung cancer and my mum was so grateful for this.
