Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I had previously taken my health for granted. However, after an unplanned operation last summer, which meant I couldn't run for a long time; and when I started back it was a very slow process, changed my view entirely. I had been supposed to do the Great North Run last September for Believe and it meant I couldn't and I was frustrated. Then; earlier this year I suffered, for the first time, with a bad back/hip so I have gone from 2(ish) miles mid-February to 12miles as of today (22nd April), which is a considerably short space of time for such an increase (although I've been sensible and followed a plan). So now, being able to do Leeds Half this year, means so much to me, on lots of levels. Not least of all the fact that I'm now able to raise money for Believe; a really positive outcome of an absolute tragedy when both Stuart Bates and his son Fraser were killed in a car accident.
In the spirit of Anna (Stuart's widow) you have to move on and overcome obstacles that life throws at you, which is why this probably means more to me now than ever before.
Thanks for reading and for any donation you're able to give.
