Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Me and Olivia decided to do a 5k run.... It may not seem like a lot but I haven't run in about 9 years so this is definitely a challenge for me. Instead of just running for the fun of it, we decided to run for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.
Our dad was treated at Clatterbridge in 2001/2002 for a brain tumour. The staff there were amazing with him. My dad simply didn't go in just for treatment but was made to feel like we were part of a bigger family and community and because of this our family was made to feel like we were not alone going through the stress of cancer treatment. With the care and support of Clatterbridge our dad was cleared of cancer.
However due to an unrelated illness our dad sadly passed away in 2006 aged 45. He is missed everyday and that is why we are dedicating this run for him and The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity
The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity is the only dedicated charity for patients and research at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. By choosing to support this charity, you will help improve patient experience, fund vital research, the latest therapies and innovations in cancer treatment.
