Hello!

On 14th August I am embarking on a roller marathon on quad skates (the four wheeled, roller derby old school skates) around Goodwood race course.  I intend to do the full 26 miles, which will probably take around 5 hours and come somewhere close to killing me.  Anyone who knows me will know that I broke my leg in two places last year and am now a roboskater, so this marathon is a big personal goal for me as well as an act of utter stupidity.  I'd appreciate your support, jibes and pearls of wisdom. 

Onto the important stuff.  I am raising money for Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity, which is not only connected to one of the greatest writers I've ever had the pleasure of reading, it is set up to improve the lives of seriously ill children.  Now, who doesn't want that? These guys are small but incredibly effectively and I genuinely believe that money donated here will find it's way to helping individuals who really need it.  Please consider making a donation to this great cause.
