Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In November 2000 my father, Andy, sadly passed away after losing his 2 year battle with cancer. During that time MacMillan Cancer Support were incredibly helpful in keeping him comfortable. Andy was offered a place in a MacMillan cancer hospice for his final months, but he requested to be in our family home instead. MacMillan made the arrangements, which allowed our family to share some precious last moments and time together.
Whilst running this marathon will no doubt be a challenge, it will be nothing compared to what my father and other cancer patients have suffered. MacMillan does tremendous work to help patients and families cope at a time of sadness or loss. I am considering this as an opportunity to give back.
