On Saturday 4^th April 2015 at 9am I will, along with up to 199 other runners, set-off from Ruchill Park in the City of Glasgow to travel on foot (some running involved..) 55 miles along the course of the Forth & Clyde and Union Canals to a finishing line in Edinburgh. This is the Glasgow – Edinburgh Ultramarathon. Following the course of the Forth & Clyde and Union canals it takes in such sites as the Antonine Wall and Falkirk Wheel, before continuing to the finish line at Edinburgh Quay, the heart of Edinburgh. The cut-off time to complete the distance is 12 hours.
