I decided last year that I was going to set out to achieve something I did not think I could: at 42, unathletic and having never shown a hint of physical endurance, I have committed to cycling from England to Spain during the Easter Holidays 2013!  - I'll need all the motivation I can get, but I know that the cause I am cycling for - The Midlands Air Ambulance - saves lives. I shall be accompanied part way by bike by a relative of my brother in law, whose life was saved by the Air Ambulance Crew. My brother in law, David Painting, of the West Midlands Ambulance Service is driving support for me. Everything I receive in sponsorship will go directly to this life-saving cause.  I hope I can live up to the challenge!
