KD-UK is the only UK based charity raising funds to help raise awareness of a very debilitating disease. We want to help make sure that this rare, often misdiagnosed disease is recognised and has funding for research. There is only one center carrying out vital research in the UK and we hope that our efforts will help them find a cure.

We have a vital roll in highlighting the need for this funding and helping to increase the public awareness.

Over 8 days in July 2016, myself and a group of 25 or so MAMILs will cycle a route from Chamonix, to Venice. The route is a little over 1,000 kms in length, although that's not really the problem.
It traverses many infamous cols and passes in the Swiss Alps and Italian Dolomites
- there are 23 major climbs with a combined ascent of nearly 20,000 metres, reaching 2,760 metres at the highest point.

It is no ordinary challenge. Even for the fittest cyclists, this is a huge test of endurance. For those who have know my laziness playing hockey, my hatred of walking up snow covered mountains with skins on the bottom of my skis and my love of food & beer know that this will be very seriously tough for me. training started early January and will be a proper night mare.

Added to that I am also doing the Etape du Tour the weekend before and the London prudential the weekend after.
A few months after the finish line while I am resting my drink on my required beer belly please help me ensure that this effort is not just a memory. If I can also raise some money for this very very worthy cause that would be fantastic.
