In July 2021, red team at Didcot lost not only a colleague but a mentor, friend, partner, son and brother. Chris was a much loved member of our team, Didcot and SCAS and his loss is felt every day. Over the last year we have become a closer & stronger work family than ever before and Chris’s kindness, compassion, professionalism be caring will be carried forward by all of us. 

A year on from the tragic events that led to Chris’s death, we are coming together as a team to raise from money for South Central Ambulance Charity in his memory by climbing Pen-Y-Fan in August 2022

Chris’s passion for the job was contagious, he gave his all into supporting patients and colleagues alike and we know he would of loved this challenge and cause so please kindly donate if you can. The Charity does amazing work to support SCAS and all it’s staff. 

As well as our team doing this walk, Thames Valley Police are supporting our efforts with an non uniform day in their call centre on Wednesday 24th organised by Beth Elliot - always grateful for support from our fellow services in the blue light family.
