On Saturday 8th July 2017, families friends and those soldiers who served with L/Cpl Ryan Francis and Sgt Spencer Beynon of 2 Coy, 2nd battalion Royal Welsh propose to walk the Fan Dance. For the uninitiated, that is a full frontal assault on Pen-y-Fan, the highest point on the Breacon Beacons.
Ryan was killed- in-action whilst serving in Iraq in July 2007.
Spencer died 9 years later succumbing to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Ryan's death was the catalyst which began Spencer's decent into hell.
To commemorate the sacrifices they made, our efforts are aimed at hitting an objective of £1000.00 which we are raising for Combat Stress- of which their Colonel of the Regiment, HRH The Prince Of Wales is Patron.
Any help would be hugely appreciated, please feel free to join us on the walk.
Many Thanks and Warmest Regards Chris.
