Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was asked to join the Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge by Sue and Chris Beadel in memory of their amazing son, Simon Beadel (RAF PTI). Simon died on 6th January 2009 aged 25 due to a virus he caught whilst at home on Christmas Leave from serving in Kosovo. Simon was the only child of Chris and Sue who, since he passed, have continuously worked incredibly hard to raise money in Simon's name for the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund who supported them through their darkest days.
Since that awful day Simon's family and friends have become very dear to me and a family of which I'm proud to now be a part of. I will always support them as much as I can, wherever they may be.
We have set this challenge which I am determined to complete. The peaks we will walk are Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Wherndale (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres). We aim to complete this challenge within 12 hours. Please help me reach my target of £500 with a donation, no matter how small. The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund is not only there to help and support those who have lost loved ones, but are there for members and families of all serving and veterans of the Royal Air Force.
This is my page but it is also part of a Team page (Simon's Army Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge) and the link is below - if you get the time, please take a look and see the amazing testaments for a young man who was taken from us far too soon.
