Story
Please join the Storer Kids by doing Chores For Charity! Every day for the month of January, each of our kids will do an extra chore (outside their normal responsibilities) to help around the house and earn money for The Light House. Our goal is $1 per day, per kid. They will have to find a way to help others every day, by doing things at home like folding laundry or washing dishes, or by asking neighbors if they can help in Covid-safe ways like sweeping a driveway or shoveling snow. Making this a daily practice is a great way form a habit of helping others, both with deeds and with donations. Please consider inviting a young person in your life to join our efforts, commit to a daily practice of helping others, and donating $31 (or perhaps more!) at the end of January.
The COVID-19 public health crisis has presented unique challenges for those struggling with homelessness and poverty. The Light House provides a place of belonging and hope for our most vulnerable neighbors. Due to the current public health crisis our services are needed more than ever before as we see an unprecedented increase in individuals and families unable to afford basic needs such as food, adequate housing, and medication. We are prepared to allocate more resources specifically to helping those who will be negatively impacted by this crisis, but your support will be essential to these efforts. Donate today and be a part of a community that cares for its neighbors during this difficult time.
