**UPDATE**
With real life races beginning to get back up and running - the Great Run is finishing it’s solo challenge for May. I will now instead be setting a running challenge of my own each month and trying to earn a medal every single month of the year - with maybe even an in person race thrown into the mix - eek! Wish me luck!!
Update from Chloe:
I am running the #GreatRunSolo challenge EVERY MONTH for the year of 2021 in what I’m thinking of as a year long ‘bucket collection’ for Accuro! ❤️❤️
Accuro are launching exciting new projects for young adults and children under 8 years old with a disability in 2021. Every donation big or small truly does help this incredible charity so much.
Jan 2021:
We're taking on The Great Run Accumulator Challenge and setting ourselves a target of 210 miles combined (70 miles each) at least in January to raise money for Accuro (Care Services).
One good thing that came out of an otherwise incredibly difficult year was the extra time to dedicate to fitness - staying active has kept us sane throughout the year and we aim to continue, kicking off 2021 with a challenge to push us out of our comfort zones!
We've loved our indoor workouts and Zoom sessions throughout 2020 but all agreed that getting motivated to go outside and run or jog or even walk in the cold can be a little tough! We're pushing ourselves though and are committed to our 70 miles each throughout the month. We will be posting regular updates of our walks, jogs and runs throughout the month so stay tuned for that!
2020 was a particularly tough year for small charities and we're keen to do our bit and fundraise as much as we can to help Accuro continue providing valuable services for young people and adults with a disability. Accuro's services aim to help members develop confidence and self esteem, make new friends and reduce social isolation.
