Story
Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. But hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling.
Mind believe that no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. They provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
I have chosen to raise money for Mind through running a mile a day in July. Mind is a charity I hold close to my heart, through their help in my darkest time I realised I was not alone and even if I couldn't see it at the time there is light at the end of the tunnel and I had the strength in me to find it. I was able to read about other peoples experiences and how they got through their own struggles helping me to see it is okay to ask for help and it is not a sign of weakness. Mind raise awareness and show the importance of voicing how you feel, there is always support out there and it's okay to not be okay.
I aim to raise £100, any support and donation is hugely appreciated.
But I also aim to raise awareness, the pandemic is also having a massive impact on mental health, it is a scary and uncertain time. It's easy to feel isolated but you are not alone, remember to keep talking.
Thank you again, I will post updates of my running as I go.
