Story
This May, I am taking part in Mind in Bradford’s 24-hour challenge, Carry the Burden, where I will be carrying an item to represent the invisible burden that those of us with mental health problems can carry every single day.
For 24 hours I will be carrying round an old kettle to represent this burden and to bring awareness to the silent struggle so many of us go through with our mental health.
Mental health difficulties can affect anybody and often these issues are invisible to those around us. I have struggled with my own mental health and understand first-hand how difficult it can be to carry this round while going about daily life.
Please consider donating, and support the vital work Mind in Bradford does for the local mental health service in Bradford district.
⭐ £50 raised could fund a one-hour wellbeing session for up to eight people
⭐ £150 could pay for the induction and training of a volunteer to answer calls to Mind’s helpline, Guide-Line
⭐ £250 could pay for a six-week wellbeing course for up to eight people
