Story
Some of you will know that I grew up in Nepal where my father worked as the director of a leprosy hospital in the south-east Terai region. As a child, I loved the free, open spaces, the fascinating creatures and plant-life, and the wonderful friends I made. As an adult I appreciate more and more the amazing work that Nepal Leprosy Trust does to change the lives of leprosy sufferers.
They not only heal the body, but provide self-care training for the life-long damage the disease leaves behind, and maybe most importantly, the staff care for and love these people who have often been turned away by their friends and family, the community at the heart of a Nepali life. They gain the medical support they desperately need, they become part of a new community, and are given the tools to step back out into life, despite the message of rejection society sends them.
Please support this amazing charity by donating! My workplace, Premium Credit Ltd, is very supportive and will match the donations that you give! http://www.nlt.org.uk/
Thank you, and please get in touch if you have any questions about the work NLT do.
