Story

You may not have heard of Survival - or have any idea what it does. You may only know about it through my ramblings, but it is a seriously inspiring charity that you must CHECK OUT.

I left journalism to start working for Survival as their Press Officer in August and continue to be amazed at what they (we) do!

On first inspection Survival may seem pretty niche, but read further and you'll be surprised at how topical and crucial tribal rights are to everyone of us.

Any of you who enjoy travel, culture, people, history and heritage, will find Survival's work seriously enlightening.

The Observer's recent expose of 'Human Safaris' in India's Andaman Islands, is just one of the stories Survival works closely on (http://www.survivalinternational.org/news/8014). In fact, the scandal was first made public by Survival in June 2010.

This is my first marathon. I know it's going to take a LOT of work, but it will definitely be helped by your generosity and the fact Survival is such an ace charity full of people with an incredible amount of commitment and passion.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Survival uses all the money donated to make real and lasting improvements to tribal peoples' rights worldwide.

Please dig deep and donate now.
